Green Building Council Italia is a non-profit association whose members, representatives of all construction industry segments, aim to:

promote and increase the diffusion of a sustainable approach to construction, leading market transformation;
make the public and institutions aware of the impact that construction and design methods have on the quality of life;
supply clear reference parameters to operators in the sector;
provide incentives for the dialogue between operators in the sector, creating a sustainable construction community.

GBC Italia promotes the LEED® - Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design - independent certification system whose parameters establish precise design and construction criteria
for buildings that are strong, energy efficient and with limited environmental impact.

GBC Italia is an organization that is capable of establishing a network of the most competitive Italian and international companies operating in the sustainable construction sector and to facilitate
the dialogue between the most qualified professional communities.

GBC Italia also promotes a transformation process of the Italian construction market: the certification system tied to the LEED brand establishes, in fact, a market value for "green building", stimulates competition between companies in environmental performance of the buildings and encourages knowledgeable consumption behaviour, even among the end users.
